17 degrees
Blues. And, greens.
It’s really nice when 17 degrees is the latitude, not the temperature in Fahrenheit.
And it’s equally nice when the color of the sea water is exactly the neon electric shaved ice blue you sea see hear here, as viewed from a little boat that returned me from a morning of snorkeling off the coast of St. Croix with schools of exotic, colorful, and clearly quite well educated fish. Gliding between the canyons of shallow reefs and tons of [obviously very smart] brain coral, I came upon an impressive herd of barracuda, who gathered in a beautifully intimidating group of six and from whom I kept a respectful distance of a few yards, lest my brain, and body, be unexpectedly schooled in the ways of the territorial wild.

My goodness, I have been following your voyage via Facebook, and then on a lark, stopped over here to find that the appetizers are on FB, but the real meat resides here. More pics, more talk, more laughs. Obviously it pays to look for you and your adventures in both places. Interesting that in the midst of your voyage, with all that is going on, your blog hums with more activity than usual, as the cyber princess blends notes, the rocking of that huge liner, divers liquors, gambling, fellowship, music appreciation, and some hardcore partying, multi-tasking at a speed too fast for the mere eye to see.
It sounds like you are having an apex experience, and the kelphistos are cheering you on all over America; at least the northwestern corner of it. I would open the window and listen for them, but it is 33 degree F, and is going to snow here tonight. Loved listening to THE LAST JOB @ 1:58, giving us some of the peppy tunes you are craving there.

Well, let’s just say that you kept a respectful distance at the urging of your…companion…who thought it was better that you not get as up close and personal with some mean-looking fish as you might have wanted to. And maybe not so much “urging” as “physical restraint.”
There are fish and there are fish.

It’s true! I need all the help and guidance I can get! I’m the kind of gal who’d be having such a mesmerizing time skydiving that I’d forget to pull the chute open.
And that’s why I don’t parachute!
