Scary…
Hunting for change.
…If you are a salmon.
And, scary if you are a Southern Resident killer whale looking for a salmon these days, because there aren’t enough in our waters right now to feed the pod populations. I am hopeful that, as with the possibility of desperately needed change offered by next week’s U.S. Presidential election, a terrible situation can right itself over time if we each become keenly aware of our ability to impact everyone’s lives.
Happy Hallowe’en! And if someone comes to your door in an Orca costume, give them a fish.

Incredible Orca shots. Did you click them from your kayak? I have only seen Orca at a distance, from on shore. What a thrill it must be to be closer to them. In 1956, there was one, in the fog, that kept going under our 17′ fishing boat, though we heard more than we saw. Now that was a scary mement. The Orca was probably longer than our boat.
Wow, I will be right in that line to pick up a CD with your vocals on it. Looking foward to more clips as you promised. Glad to hear you are taking the vocals seriously. Your voice has a great quality. Are you writing the lyrics on all your new songs to be sung?

I was very close to this creature, but I was standing on the starboard deck of a small boat. I wish I had been in my kayak! Even though these guys are far, far smaller than humpbacks and greys, just to give you an idea of scale, that dorsal fin is nearly as tall as I am. Wow!
Thanks for the kind words about my songs; I have been shy about them until recently, and then I just figured, hey, I’ve written them, so I should produce them and see if anyone wants to record one or two. I write all the lyrics as well. But almost always, the music comes first.
