Action shots
Lights… roll film… action!
It takes a woman with a very boring life to not only post photos of hail in its gerund form, but to even shoot them in the first place. Nonetheless, I share my ditzy joy with you: yesterday morning’s very intense and long hail storm that left almost an inch of the stuff glistening everywhere for half the day. It was dramatic! It looked like a blizzard coming down… a very LOUD blizzard.
HEAR the repetitive thudding on the metal roof! SEE the powerful flow of pea-sized ice pellets pouring down! SENSE the chill in the otherwise springtime air! WATCH as my property turns into an early April winter wonderland!
Wait… there’s something not right about that…
Oh, and EXPERIENCE the edge-of-their-chair excitement of Moses and Smudge through it all:
All hail the unflappable kitties! Who needs lithium, when you can just glance at these guys?

Winter was our spring, and spring is our winter; what’s wrong with that picture. Freaky weather for sure. We had 55 mph winds in Tacoma on Friday, but no hail.
Mother Nature is confused. We are confused. But not Moses & Smudge. They seem to be plugged into some more natural and relaxing vibe.
Asylum@1:18 was a great companion for the all-hail pics, though a bit strident for my Tuesday office nerves; kind of scary actually. I took yesterday off to finish my plethora of retirement applications for the Feds, the VA, Social Security, and my accountant. So today is my Monday. Had a racoon encounter in the dark walk from the car; big one. People just keep feeding them around here.
Doug and Meredith have returned after 2.5 weeks on trains to and from D.C . and an in depth perusal of the Smithsonian. When are you off again?
