Under the moon
For whoever is under there.
Many people talk about being “over the moon” about something that makes them happy. The other evening as I worked, my eye caught sight of the rising moon’s magnificent shimmer on the sea, and I stepped outside and stood as motionless as possible in the silence to attempt to capture this moment. I was under the moon, with joy.

What a gorgeous couple of moments, especially the first image.
Night photography must be a little tricky. When the camera
has an auto-focus, will it open the lens like this?
The fact that you there in your studio working far into the night
reinforces the myth that you are a true creature of creativity,
pursuing it relentlessly into darkness, into lunacy, into dreams,
piercing even the ether of parallel dimensions, rooting for music,
for that song of the spheres, to swallow it whole, and burp it up
for our pleasure as soon as your notes can translate the vibrations.
Your snippet of BELOW @ :58 was especially erie this morning,
kind of made me feel the presence of leviathans gliding huge
nearby, and hammerheads, and schools of bright orange fish.
Damn, your music paints images like Pollock at 2 am, fueled
on beer and angst, splashing colors like starlings after a feast
on berries.

Yes, I am officially a lunatic, in the true sense of the word 🙂
You can set these amazing cameras on “auto” or “manual,” but since I don’t have a clue as to what to do with it on “manual,” I let the camera do its best while I do my best at being really, really still. I think I leaned the bottom edge of the camera on the deck railing, and then held my breath so as not to jiggle anything. Very high tech, I know.

If you jiggle the camera just right, it will look like ufos fighting.
